The Complete Sayings of Jesus is a compilation of the Life of Jesus , as laid out in the gospels, but presented as a single chronological account, focusing on His words (all in context, but avoiding repetition). At the end of every chapter there are detailed explanations or meditations on all His Sayings. There are 92 Chapters in all.
It is the bane of Christianity that many call themselves Christians yet have a shallow understanding of Jesus’ teachings. This format of focusing on Jesus’ words, followed by immediate explanations makes the gospel story come alive as we follow our Lord, from birth to His ascension.
The gospels are the bedrock of Christianity; the Old Testament points to them and the other books in the New Testament are drawn from them. If you are to understand anything, then let it be what Jesus imparted. This single story format with the requisite explanations makes it much simpler to follow His teachings closely.
We urge you to make a habit of reading through the site daily, possibly a chapter at a time. Give yourself time to inculcate the information. Understanding His teachings, and applying the same, is more important than the speed of reading through. Please subscribe to the site to receive a daily mail.
You may not immediately experience it, but the change of mind and heart will come. We paraphrase the words of a great thinker, who said something to the effect that “exposing yourself to greatness (in this case our Lord Jesus Christ), is like standing close to a fireplace; whether you are interested or not, you will benefit from the warmth”.
At the books end you will have a very clear idea of what Jesus imparted to us and thus what it means to be a Christian.
Even when you get to the end, we hope you will read it again and again as a reference and daily book/site. We hope it becomes like a trusted friend, providing direction for daily living.
